Hello and welcome to my very first Blog post.

I must say I feel a little nervous about writing this so please bear with me!

So I have decided this first post will be about how to create this gorgeous Tando Creative Grey Board Pencil Case using these stunning Stamperia 12×12 Papers called ClockWise… These papers are all so lovely I have honestly struggled having to cut them up haha…

So I began by painting all of the grey board with black Gesso which is an Acrylic Primer. (Please be careful with the tabs as I have found they expand which makes it difficult to assemble after)

I then measured out the area I wanted to decorate with the paper and cut my pieces to size.

Once all of the pieces are cut to size I distressed the edges using the Tim Holtz Distress Tool. This tool is great and gives a really lovely rough edge to the paper.

I wanted to further distress the edges so I used Tim Holtz Distressed Ink pads and the colour was “Gathered Twigs”. I lightly distressed all the edges and then ran the ink pad down the sides of each piece to further darken the edge.

Next I wanted to add a little bit of texture to the paper. In keeping with the Clockwise theme I used the Tim Holtz Clockwork layering Stencil and I used  the Stamperia Gold Crackle Paste with it. This Crackle paste is brilliant! You need to leave it to dry naturally but it produces a beautiful effect and the subtle texture I was looking for.

While I was waiting for the Crackle Paste to dry I thought it would be nice to add a little something to the front of the case but it needed to be light. I remembered this mini clock from the Time Holtz Movers and Shapers range and the clock is the perfect size. Once I had cut it out on My Big Shot Pro, I realised that the Tando Creative Mini Tag Clock were the same some and fitted lovely together.

I used a mixture of Dark Brown Coco Embossing Powder and a Gold Embossing both by Cosmic Shimmer.  And then I painted the clock with black and added a little gilding wax around the edges. To finish it off I added a metal clock hand which I think was Tim Holtz…

So once I had decorated and waited for the paste to dry, it was then time to add my papers to the grey board and begin to assemble it together.

Each piece slots together.

End result..this gorgeous case with stunning papers…Just Love it!!!
